Overview
Tieline Commander G3 IP codecs are amongst the world's most successful and widely used codecs for remote broadcasts, studio-to-transmitter links and audio contribution. The Commander G3 field IP codec is the ideal portable mixer and stereo IP codec for small OBs and remote broadcasts. It features two balanced mic/line inputs, one unbalanced audio input and output, two
balanced XLR outputs and two headphone outputs.
It has a LAN port for connecting over IP networks, onboard relays, USB and serial RS-232 interfaces and two interchangeable module slots, that can accept any combination of POTS/PSTN, ISDN, X.21 or 3GIP modules.
Four software-configurable softkeys allow you trigger relay devices, or program one-touch control of local and remote codec functions such as producer talkback.
Flexible, Portable & Simple to Use
Tieline's Commander G3 field unit IP codec is the worlds most powerful and customizable portable codec, which has been designed for maximum portability in remote broadcasting.
They are simple to use and feature one-touch dialing over any connection transport. Coupled with Tieline’s remote control solution, codecs can be programmed and controlled from the studio, so you don’t have to rely on announcers setting levels, or send a technician out into the field. You can control one remote audio input or gang all remote audio inputs to a single control in the studio.
Flexible connection profiles let you send stereo program audio, mono program to one or two destinations, or mono program and IFB. Field unit Commander IP codecs can also be powered by a portable battery module for total wireless freedom when broadcasting over 3G/3.5G cell-phone networks.
Why You Should Choose Tieline Commander G3 Codecs?…
Broadcasters over time will need to migrate to IP technology alternatives for remote broadcasts, audio distribution and STLs, as older synchronous networks such as ISDN are phased out.
Tieline G3 IP codecs are engineered to deliver rock solid and reliable audio over IP and wireless 3G/3.5G IP networks and they are also capable of connecting over POTS/PSTN, ISDN, X.21 and satellite networks. Therefore, with a Tieline G3 codec it is possible to take advantage of both new and old transports as telcos continue to transition into new IP-based technologies.
Many Tieline customers are already using G3 audio codecs over IP and 3GIP for broadcasting, audio contribution and STLs. IP can be used as the primary circuit for sending audio and you can use POTS or ISDN as a backup failover circuit or communications circuit.
Portable Commander field IP codecs can truly grow with your needs and protect your investment as technology evolves.
Never before have so many powerful remote broadcast elements come together in one compact box. Contact Tieline now for a free demo and see what everyone else is talking about.
